HALEH’S STORY
Haleh Mashian’s roots run deep in Jewish and Persian culture, having been born and raised in Tehran, Iran. Despite facing persecution due to their religious minority status, Mashian remained resilient and fled Iran with her brother in 1987 to seek refuge in the United States.
Amidst the challenges of immigration and persecution, her passion for a free and expressive life persevered. She feels fortunate to be a U.S. citizen, allowing her to pursue her passion and authentic voice as a woman.
Mashian’s creative energy knows no bounds. Her belief that creativity can infuse every aspect of life reflects her passion for the arts. Drawing inspiration from music composition and painting, she creates unique pieces of music for each series of paintings, expressing their nuances through both visual imagery and sound. Her ultimate goal is to connect deeply with her audience, showcasing the transformative power of creativity.
